Singapore was founded as a British trading colony in 1819. It joined the Malaysian Federation in 1963 but separated two years later and became independent. 1. It can be difficult for young Christians to remain active and radical in their faith as they enter the society, marry and join the competitive struggle for wealth or power.

2. A third of all students in Singapore are Christians. They can play a significant role to be a channel for evangelization in Singapore.

3. As more and more young people are interested in finding out about Christianity, new and dynamic models of church that are relevant and effective in discipling young Christians are needed.

1. Let us pray that economic depression that Singapore is facing now can be a chance for many people to come to Christ and become a catalyst for the growth of the church.

2. As drug addicts exceed ten thousand, drug addiction is becoming a serious social problem. Let us pray that drug wipe-out movements led by Christian organizations can be fruitful.
